EuroKid arrived safe and sound and Diverdownfamily went to pick her up at the airport. Unfortunately, I was supposed to sleep, but good luck with that! She barely got the house tour and stuff parked when we had to head out to get school stuff. It was time for a new computer for all of the kids, so we all piled in to the Odyssey to pillage the nearest Best Buy. I found the clerk's creative math befuddling and I generally don't feel too ripped off. They must have gone to the 'car sales' class for negotiations because they talk doublespeak and confuse with numbers with the best of them! We finally figured it all out, then were teased by the cash register gremlins for a while, and only 15 hours later emerged with brand new computers for the kids! OK, so it was more like one hour, but when those minutes are between a hungry you and sushi, it feels like 15 hours.
School started the next day, but that doesn't count, since most of that was spent dotting 'i's and crossing 't's, but then real classes started and she is very happy with her classes! The other doclings have assimilated her very easily. Of course, the rest of the family is dying to meet her, and they are all coming over tonight for an informal pool party. We can't wait!
